Made up of four members, Edenvale Police Station’s maintenance team is responsible for keeping the station neat and well-maintained.
To introduce the team to the community and learn more about its duties the NEWS met with its members and Edenvale SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Jacob Mashile.

Comprised of Paulus Papis Chauke, Namatsabo Donald Mahasha, Vincent Ndivhuho Mudau and Ashton Dominic le Roux, the team is responsible for cleaning the station’s offices, looking after the grounds and keeping the station in a neat condition.
Mashile said the maintenance team members, who are administrative members, play a very important role at the police station.
“If the police station is in a poor condition or dirty, service will be poor,” said Mashile.
“The maintenance team have an important role at the station and in the community.”
He said the cleaner Edenvale Police Station is, the better it is for the community and the staff.
