Spokesperson for the Bedfordview SAPS Sgt Lilian Modiga said an employee of the business stopped outside the premises at around 09:30 on the day to collect her laptop charger.

“When she arrived, the gates were closed and she hooted for security to open up.”

She added that when the gates opened, she was confronted by armed men.

“She was tied to a chair in the office. She saw four other suspects moving pallets towards the back entrance of the warehouse,” Modiga said.

The woman called for help after the six men fled the scene.

Modiga said the security personnel could not be found on the scene.

“It is believed they were kidnapped by the suspects,” she said.

Investigation into the matter will continue.
