Rugby filled day for Edenvale

Held on February 26, the mini-tournament saw teams take to the field as supporters enjoyed a rugby filled day.

Fun was had by all when 14 rugby teams took to Edenvale’s Rugby Stadium for the Tendella Golden Oldies’ Day of the Crackling Bones.

Held on February 26, the mini-tournament saw teams take to the field as supporters enjoyed a rugby filled day.

Traditionally played on a Friday evening this year the Tendella’s decided to host the tournament on a Saturday.

Captain of the Tendella’s Jonathan Shaw explained that this year the Tendella’s hosted the tournament during the day to accommodate more teams.

Shaw said no scores were kept during the tournament and all games were played in the spirit of fun, friendship and fraternity of rugby.

Teams that participated on the day included:
• Kaas vs Wyn.
• PTA Quins vs West Lions.
• Hillbillies vs Mustangs.
• TWR vs Golden Eagles.
• Krugersdorp Quins vs Alberton.
• Rebels vs Mongrels.
• Tendellas vs Old Bears.
