The podcast aims to inspire and empower listeners to make the world a better place by sharing the stories of individuals, companies and organisations advancing and achieving a more sustainable world.

The latest podcast, The World is Already a Better Place, features the Holy Rosary learners and unpacks the Unicef Youth survey.

Global GoalsCast, a Unicef partner, believes younger people, particularly younger people in the developing world, have a bright view of the future and expect their lives to be better than those of their parents.

“This is the optimism of the tech generation that can see a way forward,” explained Dr Eliza Filby, an expert on generational change.

“They have a sense of what’s possible because they have access to information.”

Holy Rosary learners’ hopefullness is built on a clear view that sees the challenges but believes they have the tools, like access to education, skills and support, to tackle them.

“I think technology helps us learn a lot more efficiently and faster,” said Eden.

During the podcast, the learners were interviewed and asked several questions from a Unicef survey of 21 000 people, young and older, from across the globe.

The survey identified the optimism of the youth and found that young people are 50% more likely than older generations to believe the world is becoming a better place.

In addition to the learners participating in the podcast, Holy Rosary’s Primary School principal, Natalie Meerholz, was awarded the title Agent of Transformation by Global GoalsCast.
