In its quest to become an eco-hub for communities, HomeGrowers plans to expand its product range in its new Edenvale store.

In doing so, Cassian Davis hopes to foster a community of eco-friendly gardening enthusiasts.

With a dedicated training centre, the Edenvale branch of HomeGrowers will host more interactive community events.

The events are held free of charge and are aimed at helping gardeners get the most out of their edible delights.

A DWC system requires no electricity or pumps and allow for hassle-free organic growing.

On November 27 there will be a talk and demonstration on worm farms, while on November 28 HomeGrowers will host a cannabis talk.

For those interested in hydroponics, there will be an event on December 4 and the talk on December 5 will focus on nutrients and fertilisers for plants.

For fruit tree enthusiasts, the talk on December 12 is not to be missed.

All events are held free of charge, but residents are asked to book their place in advance.

As part of its endeavour to foster a new generation of young growers, HomeGrowers will hold a children’s competition.

Children are asked to draw their favourite vegetable and drop their artwork off at HomeGrowers in Edenvale before December 12.

All entries will go into a lucky draw to win one of three Deep Water Culture (DWC) systems.

A DWC system requires no electricity or pumps and allows for hassle-free organic growing.

It is the perfect starter system for young avid growers.
