Spassov and other sponsors stepped up to support this year’s event.

Children enjoyed a fun-filled day at the jumping castles with music and dance after a meal and the magician stole the show with tricks to entertain the children.

The hand of giving was extended to Tshepang women, who received gifts of appreciation for their hard work throughout the year.

Spassov extended a hand of giving to the Thembisa charity organisation when she donated ten boxes of fish burger patties to Tshepang.

Journalist Obedience Mkhabela received the boxes of fish burger patties from the NEWS and Westpack Hero of the Month and Klopperpark resident Vanessa Spassov in time for Saturday’s Christmas lunch.

Spassov from Dare-To-Care Soup Kitchen handed the donations over to GCN journalist Obedience Mkhabela, who delivered the patties on Friday in time for Saturday’s celebrations.

Sarah Sibiya, founder of Tshepang, extended her gratitude and thanked all those who made the day a success and played a role in making sure the children enjoyed the day.

“It was a successful event. To all our sponsors and supporters, we thank you for your love and support,” she said.

“The year has not been easy, but your kindness and dedication kept Tshepang going and our future leaders will never forget your generosity.”

The fish burgers are being prepared at Tshepang Care Centre for Saturday’s Christmas lunch.

Patience Ramashapa from Tshepang said they fed over 900 children from the community.

“What’s amazing is that we also prepared meals for some parents,” said Ramashapa.
