Edenglen athletes excel in Ruimsig

Edenglen High School athletes recently took the track when they competed in the Puma School of Speed competition at the Ruimsig Stadium, where Grade 11 learners Kaylee le Roux and Herve Ngodi excelled.

Held on November 13, Edenglen High learners Herve Ngodi (Grade 11), Kaylee le Roux (Grade 11), Elvin Tiflin (Grade Eight) and Rorisang Merafe (Grade Eight) competed on the day.

Ngodi ran the 100m and 200m sprints, making it into the finals for both events, where he received one bronze, two silver and gold medals.

Le Roux, who also competed in the 100m and 200m sprint finals, won five gold medals.

After she attained a time of 11.67, matching the record at the Puma School of Speed, in one of her 100m sprints, le Roux was interviewed for the Puma School of Speed.

Grade Eight learner Merafe ran in the u-15 100m and 200m sprints competed in his heats in the 100m race and completed two of the seven heats for the 200m race.

Although Merafe did not make it into the finals for her age group, Edenglen High School congratulated her on her running.

Similarly, Grade Eight learner Tiflin ran in the u-15 100m and 200m sprints. He completed two of the eight heats in the 100m race and ran eight of the nine heats for the 200m race. Although he put his all into his races, Tiflin did not make it into the finals.

Edenglen High School congratulated all of its athletes for their hard work and their achievements.
