Edenvale model wins national title

Edenvale resident Sascha-Lee Daniel was recently crowned the Miss SA Junior Teen 2021 at the International Junior Miss SA Competition.

The 15-year-old was awarded the title on October 9 at the event that was held in Durban.

Sascha-Lee also won the best interview, first princess charity and second princess photogenic awards.

She said it was a tough and tiring competition.

Sascha-Lee is a former learner of Dunvegan Primary School and is now a Grade Eight learner at Edenvale High School. She enjoys participating in school sports such as netball and soccer.

Sascha-Lee has focussed on her modelling career from a young age.

Some of the titles she has won over the years include Miss Gauteng, Miss Mzansi Africa, Miss Edenvale, Miss Mamba and much more.

She said the previous titles were building blocks to her winning the Miss SA Junior Teen 2021 title.

In light of her winning the title, Sascha-Lee thanked her entire family whom she described as her role models.

“They have taught me what life is all about, they have shown me love compassion, honesty and loyalty.”

“My family have always supported me in everything that I do and all of these qualities made me the person I am today.”

Sascha-Lee also thanked her coach and owner of Universal Models Casey-Lee de Wit for her time and effort in preparing her for the October pageant.

From a young age, Sascha-Lee has always wanted to represent SA internationally and dreams of one day becoming Miss South Africa.

Although she is only a teenager, part of her dream is already coming true.

Sascha-Lee will be working with Casey-Lee in preparation to represent SA on the international stage in the USA. Her goal is to bring home the crown.

Sascha-Lee encouraged others to dream big and never give up on their dreams.

She told them to work hard, be motivated and dedicated because it always pays off in the end.

Sascha-Lee also enjoys doing charitable work and helping others.

Some of the charities Sascha-Lee has assisted over the years include Edenvale SPCA, the Tree Challenge, providing food to those in need and being an ambassador for the Feed a Child Foundation.

She believes no matter how big or small you are that you can make a difference in somebody’s life.
