EHS staff and learners compete in Engen Cup

In the finals, JVW Football Club went on to play against Kempton Park, which it narrowly lost with a score of 4-3 after penalties.

Edenvale High School’s learners Makayla Delafield, Taylor-Ann Berkovic (Grade 11) and Tanna Hollis (Grade 10) recently took to the field when they competed in the Engen Cup 2021 in the JVW Football Club.

Held over the weekend of October 1 to 3, the team topped its group to make it through to the semi-finals where it dominated the game.

In the finals, JVW Football Club went on to play against Kempton Park, which it narrowly lost 4-3 after penalties.

Taylor-Ann was awarded Defending Player of the Tournament and Tanna was awarded Striker of the Tournament.

Edenvale High School also congratulated Taylor-Ann who has also received a national call up to the u-20 Women’s National Soccer team ‘Basetsana’.
