Bedfordview Lions Club to host fund-raiser

Cupcakes and golden ribbons will be sold to raise funds, while a representative from Childhood Cancer Foundation SA (CHOC) will provide a presentation.

Bedfordview Lions Club is set to host its Cupcakes for Cancer Charity Event to create awareness about childhood cancer and raise funds for children with cancer.

Set to be held on October 30, the fund-raiser will be held at Fairmount Bowling Club from 10:00 to 17:00.

Cupcakes and golden ribbons will be sold to raise funds, while a representative from Childhood Cancer Foundation SA (CHOC) will provide a presentation.

In addition to the cupcakes and presentation, a flea market with a variety of items to eat and buy will be available.

Children at the event can look forward to several activities, including the magical talents of Magician Doron.

Besides keeping busy with activities, children stand a chance of winning prizes.

Kelly Winter, reigning Miss Edenvale and ambassador of the Role Models Foundation, will also attend the event to raise funds for children with cancer, by spending time in the Lions’ jail and bail.

Entertainment on the day will be provided by Sonet Shields from SAEG.

The Lions highlighted that all proceeds from the day’s events go towards CHOC.
