#HeroPack: Remember to enter your local hero

The nomination for this month's competition closes on September 27.

Bedfordview and Edenvale communities are reminded that they now have the chance to identify local heroes.

The NEWS and West Pack Lifestyle are giving readers the opportunity to nominate those members of the community who value and understand the term ubuntu by putting the needs of the community first.

Readers can enter these local heroes for the NEWS/West Pack Lifestyle Hero of the Month competition.

Nominate the person you think is a hero and put them in line to win an R1 000 West Pack Lifestyle voucher to spend as they wish.

Think of people who are doing good for our environment, helping animals or running soup kitchens, or even those filling the odd pothole or pick up litter on the weekend.

Also remember the public servants, care workers, NPO workers or teachers and business people who have a heart for the less fortunate and care about our towns.

This will be a monthly competition with the next #HeroPack member and the winner being announced in October’s first edition.
