Edenvale Knitwits spread the warmth

“We crochet and knit these beautiful scarves and blankets for charity.”

Members of Edenvale Knitwits recently handed out 107 scarves and 42 blankets to recipients at Khanyisa Soup Kitchen.

The donation was made on September 2 as part of the 67 Blankets for Mandela Foundation initiative.

“Dipuo Tekana, the manager of the trust, was thrilled to have us there,” said Edenvale ambassador for the foundation, Kiley Cassel.

She said Edenvale Knitwits is a group of women who volunteer and help create scarves and blankets for the foundation.

“We crochet and knit these beautiful scarves and blankets for charity.”

Although the Edenvale Knitwits consists of 15 women, those who assisted with the September 2 donation included Kiley Cassel, Michele Khoury, Kim Cramer and Jenny Sartor.
