A section of Kloof Road, between Townsend and Pine roads, is closed off to traffic to accommodate on scene investigations following a shooting this afternoon.
According to Bedfordview SAPS spokesperson Capt Andre de Jager, an unknown number of suspects opened fire at a vehicle travelling behind them.
The victim retaliated and rammed into the suspect’s car from behind. He added that the victim’s car flipped and landed on its roof during the incident.

“The victim was unharmed. The suspects then fled the scene, crashing into a second vehicle.
“The motive for the shooting cannot, at this stage, be determined and will form part of a detailed investigation,” de Jager said.
The Toyota Corolla used by the suspects was recovered along Barbara Road, Primrose, shortly after the incident.
