SANDF deployed around Eastgate in Bedfordview
In the latest released situation report for the Bedfordview area, the Bedfordview CPF reported that all three sectors were calm.
Residents in Bedfordview and surrounds expressed their relief following an announcement earlier that officers and the SANDF were deployed at intersections surrounding Eastgate Shopping Centre.

The officers deployed thanked Stallion Security for delivering hot coffee to those stationed at the intersections.

One officer told the NEWS that the SANDF’s presence was welcomed by the community.
In the latest released situation report for the Bedfordview area, the Bedfordview CPF reported that all three sectors were calm.
“We remain vigilant and on high alert. We are aware of a threat to our neighbours in Primrose,” BCPF executives stated in the report.
“This is the time for calm. Please refrain from posting anything on social media. It is a real problem for those on the ground. Voice notes are particularly problematic. We stand united as a community.”
Additionally, the BCPF also launched a drive to recruit members of the community who are willing and able to assist with patrols and surveillance in the area. Those interested will need to register with the CPF structure for legal requirements.
