Edenvale police operation nets 12

Twelve people were arrested between July 2 and 3 on various charges by members of the Edenvale SAPS.

Mashile said the operation in Edenvale was conducted under the leadership of Lt-Col Makgatje Frans Marweshe, visible policing commander at the Edenvale SAPS.

“The operations were conducted in all the four sectors of Edenvale and suspects were arrested for cases that include possession of house break-in implements,” he said.

Mashile reminded residents they need to abide by the regulations in place under the Disaster Management Act for adjusted level four lockdown.

All those arrested appeared in the Edenvale Magistrate’s Court on Monday last week.

“The management at the station would like to thank all the stakeholders, including private security companies, who assisted in the operation.”
