Noba makes waves in New York

After a year, she moved to New York where she is completing her final-year studies towards a four-year jazz degree at The New School.

Former Reddam House Bedfordview learner and South African singer-songwriter Lindiwe Msweli (Noba) has released her debut single.

After matriculating in 2016, she enrolled at The University of the Witwatersrand and started her Bachelor of Music degree.

After a year, she moved to New York where she is completing her final-year studies towards a four-year jazz degree at The New School.

Noba aspires to create music that is rich and uplifting, writing songs about love, social justice and self-fulfilment.

Her debut single, Tell Me, is a love song and available on all streaming platforms.
The track is infused with an urban samba essence that evokes iconic female artists such as Sade, Erykah Badu and H.E.R.

“The release of the single means so much to me because I feel it allows me to finally express my artistry,” she said.

“I believe that by listening to this song people will get to know me for who I say I am.”
