Court sentences shoplifter
The co-accused in the matter will again appear in Edenvale court on July 14.
The Edenvale Magistrate’s Court has convicted 34-year-old Zakhele Maseko to three years imprisonment for shoplifting.
According to the spokesperson for the Edenvale SAPS, Sgt Jacob Mashile, a shoplifting case was opened after the complainant in the matter secured the arrest of two suspects when he spotted them leaving a store in Edenvale with shopping bags.
The complainant stopped the two at the entrance of the shop and asked to search them. He found the items that were not paid for and he called the police.

Edenvale SAPS acting station commander Lt Col Unice Nzuza commended Det Sgt Mphahlele for the thorough investigation and for the conviction he secured.
