On the same day shortly before 1pm, officers were alerted to a second house robbery, this time in De Wet Street.

“The victim noticed four men in her house and they demanded jewellery. They were armed with a knife and a firearm and fled the property with a television and jewellery,” de Jager said. At 2am on May 7, the third incident was reported to Bedfordview SAPS. “The door to the victim’s Morninghill property was forced open. Two victims were tied up and forced to stay in the bedroom by three suspects armed with two firearms,” the spokesperson said.

He added that the suspects fled with laptop computers, a television, cellphones and a tablet.
