The Edenvale Lions Basketball Academy played two matches on March 27. In the first game New Generations Basketball Club defeated the Edenvale Lions 67 points to 33.
The Lions then took on the Scorpions and won 43 points to 19. New Generations then went on to face Scorpions, winning 65 to 41. Webster Nzivimbo, technical coach for the Edenvale Lions, told the NEWS the home side played well.

“We need more time for the guys to improve their fitness levels. The problem is that we only practise two days a week and it’s not enough for the team,” Webster said. He added that the Lions were impressive in defence.
“There is room for improvement. I’m not too worried about wins and losses at this stage.”
