As the country continues to see a decline in Covid-19 infections the MMC for Health and Social Services, Cllr Nomadlozi Nkosi, cautions residents to heed the level 1 lockdown regulations.

“Despite the relaxed restrictions, there are some exclusions which residents are urged to adhere to, as these are efforts put in place to slow down the spread of Covid-19,” said the MMC. She further states that most normal activities can resume, but precautions and health guidelines should be followed at all times.

The adjusted alert on level 1 are in place from March 1, 2021 and states that everyone is confined to their place of residence from 00h00 until 04h00 daily, unless a person is performing an essential service or has an emergency.
