Sebenza SAPS nabs suspect, recovers two illegal firearms
“One 9mm Glock with 11 rounds and no serial number, one 38 special, one Tecno cellphone and one black Nokia was recovered.”
With the assistance of security personnel, Sebenza SAPS arrested a male suspect for robbery and recovered two illegal firearms and ammunition on February 18.
The robbery occurred in Vuurslag Road at approximately 4pm. Sebenza SAPS spokesperson Sgt Sharon Tsotsotso said officers arrested a suspect for business robbery and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
“One 9mm Glock with 11 rounds and no serial number, one 38 special, one Tecno cellphone and one black Nokia was recovered,” said Tsotsotso.

She said the 38 special had at least five rounds of ammunition. Tsotsotso said the suspect is expected to appear in the local magistrate’s court soon.
