CoE replaces faded signs after heavy storm damage

The City of Ekurhuleni released a statement in which it mentioned that it is moving at full speed to replace faded road signs across Ekurhuleni.

Head of the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) roads and stormwater department Sizwe Cele said road signs give critical information to drivers, which goes a long way to ensure visibility on the road and safety of both pedestrians and motorists.

They also help to communicate messages to drivers and pedestrians that can maintain order and reduce accidents.

“With the current rainfall, it is very important that we make sure our roads are marked,” he said.

In strengthening its partnership with the community, the City calls on residents and businesses to report road-related issues through to the call centre on 0860 543 000 or through My CoE App.
