Don’t fall victim to job scams, warns The City of Ekurhuleni

The City warns the public to be aware of social media job scams that are falsely presented as the City’s recruitment process.

The scammers lure the public into calling them on their mobile numbers where they will then make the applicant pay money in exchange for false job opportunities such as drivers, cleaners, and more.

The City reiterates that its job application process is not conducted through social media platforms or social media messaging. All available vacancies at the City of Ekurhuleni are strictly advertised on its website: www.ekurhuleni.gov.za/vacancies.

The City urges the public to be vigilant and not fall victim to these scams. Report any fraudulent activity and corruption on 0800 102 201.
