To show their appreciation to Edenvale’s first responders, members of the community came together and provided meals for the frontline workers.

The initiative organised by the Edenvale CPF, in partnership with Jump Start Car Wash and Siyathanda Foundation, saw officers from Edenvale SAPS, personnel from Edenvale Fire Station and security companies receive a boerewors roll and baked treats on December 26.

The boerewors rolls were sponsored by members of the CPF and the carwash while the baked treats were provided by the foundation.

ECPF member Fiona Pickett said the initiative was held to thank the first responders for the work they do in the community.

“During these difficult times we all have endured the stress of Covid-19 and the new normal we are currently experiencing,” said Pickett.

“We wanted to thank our various emergency and response services for the dedication and sacrifices they make daily to ensure Edenvale is made a safer place.”

The Edenvale CPF thanked everyone involved in the initiative.
