What can I do differently?

For many people 2020 has been a wakeup call.

We woke up to the reality that life as we know it can change amazingly fast. Many people are waiting for the effects to blow over with the hope and trust that they can resume their lives and go back to “normal”.

My entire life I believed that every experience is a learning experience, and I had to ask myself what did 2020 and the effects of Covid teach me. The answer was simple; be adaptable.

I had to completely alter my business model to adjust to the new “rules “to survive 2020. But the great thing about adjusting my business model was that it worked better than the previous model. The truth is I was forced to adjust, I did not decide to adjust voluntarily. External events gave me no choice.

I learnt a great lesson. A lesson that I have diarised to re-visit every year. A simple lesson, with one simple question. “What can I do differently?”

What I realised was, that it is quite easy to fall into our comfort zones. We often say, “well, if it is working, why change it?”

I now believe that change is inevitable and is part of the reality we live in. To be able to adapt and adjust constantly is a great skill and a requirement for our future.

I have spent the past 12 years of my life teaching coaches and therapists, and with the ability to adapt and adjust fast, as I have in 2020, I was blessed to have a record year.

I will continue to ask, “what can I do, differently?”

I trust you will ask the same question and learn to explore the multitude of options that are truly available to you.
