Kyle Ribeiro, a Grade 10 learner from Edenglen High School, decided to make the most of lockdown and auditioned for the International Arts and Talent Showcase (IATS).
Kyle auditioned for the IATS at the Silver Star Casino on October 29.
The event was held over three days, as there were contestants from all over Africa
Judges from America were present for the showcase.

Judges included were Joey Hunter, Rhavynn Drummer, Nate Butler, Blaze Johnson and representatives from the New York Film Academy.
“I had nerves that ran through my body when auditioning, it was indescribable,” said Kyle.
“I was excited but also scared, but these emotions gave me the energy and power to exceed my limitations.”
After he impressed the judges, Kyle was called back and asked to take part in the International Model and Talent Association (IMTA).
The IMTA is set to be held in July 2021 in New York.
