JVW FC finds a new home

Located several hundred metres from their former home grounds, the Bedfordview Country Club, the club hopes to continue producing top performing players.

With its recent relocation to Jeppe Quondam Sports and Social Club, Janine van Wyk (JVW) FC hopes to achieve great things as the club embarks on a new chapter.

Located several hundred metres from their former home grounds, the Bedfordview Country Club, the club hopes to continue producing top performing players.

“We are so excited to create a new female football environment at Jeppe Quondam, and we trust it will be a great start to 2021,” said Janine Van Wyk, JVW Founder.

“The lockdown has kept us away from football but the return was euphoric.”

The club started training at Jeppe at the start of November.

In a statement issued by the club, the move came into effect when Bedfordview Country Club did not renew JVW’s contract and gave it two months’ notice to find new fields.

Jeppe Quondam, home to a variety of sporting codes, has a history of various football teams using its facilities in the past.

Despite the active soccer community at Jeppe Quondam, JVW will be the first female team it hosts.

“JVW will bring about a fresh and exhilarating atmosphere to Jeppe,” said van Wyk.

“We were under immense pressure to secure a new ground before we returned to the fields, and we are excited that we are still within the scope of the Edenvale and Bedfordview area.

“Change is inevitable, but it’s always one of the main ingredients for growth and success.”

JVW FC thanked Jeppe Quondam, Loreen Lamb and Bob Huntington for all of the assistance.
