Another Better Bedfordview transformation

“RAG’s vision is to keep our area safe, clean and beautiful, for everyone to enjoy”.

Better Bedfordview recently transformed yet another Bedfordview eye-sore into something spectacular.

The Better Bedfordview initiative of Residents Action Group (RAG) aims to unite and uplift the area.

In doing this, the group set out to transform the corner of Kloof Road and The Parade Street (at Oriel Park and Rotary Park) from a rubble and rubbish-strewn eye-sore to an eye-catching attraction.

RAG chairperson Marina Constas said that it will be exquisite when the newly planted agapanthuses start flowering.

“This transformation by the Better Bedfordview team was made possible through the kind donation of the plants by resident Carol Payne, who also supervised the clean-up and planting,” she said.

“RAG’s vision is to keep our area safe, clean and beautiful, for everyone to enjoy”.

Constas said that Better Bedfordview projects are funded by voluntary donations from RAG members and the support of residents and businesses who share this vision.

She appealed to residents to support RAG and the Better Bedfordview initiative.

“As a community-based, non-profit organisation, RAG depends on funding from residents and businesses, so that we can tackle more clean-ups and drive more community improvement projects. Our clean-up team consists of previously unemployed men, so we are also proud to be creating employment and helping those in need.

“Your support can help us grow our team and do more for our community.”

Residents who would like to donate to Better Bedfordview can visit www.bedfordviewrag.co.za/donations/ or call RAG on 011 455 4120.
