Eastleigh business lends a hand to CWSA

The mascot, named Trevor after the owner of the car wash, will travel the streets of South Africa, teaching adults how to identify signs of abuse.

Eastleigh-based Trev’s Car Wash recently donated a mascot to Child Welfare South Africa (CWSA) head office.

The mascot, named Trevor after the owner of the car wash, will travel the streets of South Africa, teaching adults how to identify signs of abuse.

The roadshow is set to take place during Level One of lockdown when it is safe to do so.

The initial campaign, Adult Awareness Against Child Abuse, began at the start of September.

“With the increase in gender-based violence, which includes children, it is vital that parents are aware of signs of abuse and can report any suspicious activity to local authorities,” said Samantha Atrash, CWSA’s national fund-raising coordinator.

“We are raising funds for the roadshows and any support would be greatly appreciated.”
