RRW Edenvale presents bursary to Edenvale High learner

The running club was able to present the bursary to the school after it raised over R300 000 from its marathon.

Rand Road Warriors (RRW) Edenvale paid Edenvale High School a visit to present a bursary to one of the learners.

The running club was able to present the bursary to the school after it raised over R300 000 from its marathon.

Funds were divided among several charities and organisations.

The bursary was presented to Grade 10 learner Taylor Berkovic by RRW member and this year’s Edenvale Marathon organiser Sharon Holton on July 22.

Taylor, who has a passion for sport and plays for the u-17 SA Bantwana Soccer Team, said the bursary means a lot to her.

The principal of the school, Dr Larry Harmer, said bursaries are presented to learners who meet certain requirements laid out by school management.

He said Taylor is committed to the school and has a passion for sport.Besides the bursary, a plaque commemorating the marathon was also presented to the school.
