Covid-19: 11 233 new cases as 265 077 recover from coronavirus in SA

114 new deaths have brought the total number of deaths to 6 769, while the recovery rate is sitting at 59.5% with 265 077.

Covid-19 cases continue to rise with 11 233 new cases bringing the total to 445 433.
Gauteng remains the worst affected province with 160 154 infections, followed by the Western Cape with 92 079 and the Eastern Cape with 73 585.

A total of 2 773 778 tests have been conducted thus far, with 57% of those taking place in private facilities, and 43% in public facilities.
