Edenvale SPCA announces Mandela Day wish list

Mandela Day celebrations will not be the same this Mandela Day for the Edenvale SPCA due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

For those willing to assist and support the SPCA this Mandela Day, Jade Nel, Edenvale SPCA inspector, said it will be done a bit differently.

“As we cannot allow many people on our property, we will still be accepting donations and will still be sending, thank you letters, take photos and issue 18A tax certificates,” she said.

The SPCA wish list is as follows:
• Dog, cat, rabbit and mixed fowl food.
• Re-washable stormy blankets
• Cat litter
• Chicken fillets for pups and kittens and recovering animals
• Cat toys
• Empty hooves
• Soft treats for dogs
• Cash donations
“Mandela Day will be used for outreach sterilisations and towards our electrical account, as all kennel heaters are on,” said Nel.
