South Africa’s number of Covid-19 cases increased by 142 since yesterday.
As of today, April 20 the total number of confirmed cases in South Africa is 3300, an increase of 142.
Four more deaths were also recorded bringing the total number to 58.
165 new Covid-19 patients recovered bringing the total number of recoveries to 1055 and the total number of tests conducted is now 121 510.

Gauteng remains the epicentre with a total of 1170 cases. The province has recorded seven deaths and 545 recoveries thus far.
KwaZulu Natal’s death toll remains the highest with a total of 23 deaths. The province has 639 cases with 151 recoveries.
The Western Cape recorded the second highest number of cases with 940, 17 deaths and 216 recoveries.
The breakdown of the remainder of provinces is as follows:
Eastern Cape: 310 cases with five deaths 15 recoveries.
Free State – 105 cases with five deaths and 74 recoveries.
Limpopo – 27 cases and one death with 21 recoveries. One death and 21 recoveries.
North West – 25 cases and 13 recoveries.
Mpumalanga – 23 cases and 14 recoveries.
Northern Cape – 18 cases and 6 recoveries.
North West, Mpumalanga and Northern Cape have not recorded any Covid-19 related deaths.
The number of unallocated cases is 43.
