SAPS appeals for information about Isandovale robbery

"Two suspects entered the store at the petrol station and pointed their firearms at the cashier."

Edenvale SAPS appealed to the community to come forward if they know anything about an Isandovale business robbery.

On April 3, a petrol station in the Isandovale area was robbed by three men.

Edenvale SAPS spokesperson Sgt Jacob Mashile said the robbery occurred at 7.15pm.

He said the SAPS are still investigating the case of business robbery and tracing the registration plate of the vehicle used in the robbery.

“Two suspects entered the store at the petrol station and pointed their firearms at the cashier,” said Gauteng SAPS spokesperson Capt Kay Makhubela.

“They demanded money whilst the third waited in a car.”

Mashile said the men fled the scene in a white Nissan Almera with an unknown amount of money.

He said it was unknown which direction the men fled.

An advice Mashile provided to petrol station owners to try to prevent robberies included:

• To exercise greater caution and vigilance as it gets later.

• Limiting the number of individuals allowed in the convenient store.

• To lock the entrance to the convenience store when it is late and operate only through the window near the cashier.

• To ensure all petrol attendants stay inside the break room as it gets late.
