Covid-19 – Community come together during lockdown

Donations can be dropped off at the boom-gate on Protea Road in Bedfordview.

The Bedfordview Community Police Forum (BCPF) has initiated a project to make face masks for workers providing essential services during the lockdown.

The project has participation from the Bedfordview community to keep productive and to help during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We have assembled 53 women who are making face masks for distribution to essential services,” said Gavin Henry, chairperson of the BCPF.

Henry appealed to the community to donate cotton fabric and elastic.

The BCPF face mask initiative currently needs donations of cotton fabric and elastic to make more these masks.

The donations can be dropped off at the boomgate on Protea Road in Bedfordview for distribution to the volunteers.

“We are most grateful to those who donate their time and skills to help out during a difficult time,” said Henry.
