Man found guilty of tampering with essential infrastructure

Mhlose was arrested and has since been found guilty and sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment.

Ayanda Mhlose was found guilty of tampering with essential infrastructure by the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court.

His arrest took place October 17, 2019, after information received by the Cleveland SAPS, as followed up by police investigators.

Capt Johan Jordaan of the Cleveland SAPS said the security officers caught the man while he was cutting electrical cables on Nottingham Road, Kensington.

Mhlose was arrested and has since been found guilty and sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment.
