Cleveland Police Station spruced up

“We always receive information from the public that the police station looks like a dump. We took the matter further to assist the station to be in a better state," said Ismail.

The Cleveland Community Police Forum (CPF) and Clean Malvern gathered to clean up the Cleveland Police Station.

The chairperson of the CPF, Muhammed Ismail, and the executive, together with members from the community and members from the Cleveland Police Station, embarked on a cleaning day at the station on February 22.

“We always receive information from the public that the police station looks like a dump. We took the matter further to assist the station to be in a better state,” said Ismail.

“We decided to call on the Clean Malvern group and Malvern Care Team to come and lend us a helping hand.”

“We are thankful for the community for stepping up and cleaning our police station because I felt like this place is being neglected,” said spokesperson of Cleveland SAPS Capt Johan Jordaan.

“Our space is looking better and I hope this will not stop the CPF and community from continuing to clean our police station,” he said.
