Jade Nel, Edenvale SPCA inspector, said money made from the charity shop is used by the SPCA.

Community members came out to support Bilbo’s Bargains charity shop at the Edenvale SPCA on February 15.

The charity shop, also known as the Edenvale SPCA Charity Shop, sells second-hand goods received from public donations and other charity shops.

Bilbo’s Bargains is open on Thursdays and Saturdays from 9am to 11.30am.

The shop is open to receiving donations outside of operating hours, with staff ready to assist.

Bilbo’s Bargains is open every Thursday and Saturday from 9am to 11:30am.

Jade Nel, Edenvale SPCA inspector, said the SPCA is happy to collect any donations within the area or just outside.

“The second-hand goods shop assists us to bring in extra money, which helps with the day-to-day running of the SPCA.

“The money helps with petrol, water and lights, staff salaries, upgrades and vehicle services.

“All of the money made from the shop is put straight back into the SPCA,” said Nel.

She added if donations such as stationery, travel cages, spare toilet seats or door handles, things the SPCA may be in need of, the SPCA will make use of it.
