Missing teen found safe in Edenvale

While she was waiting to view the footage, she received information that her daughter was in Edenvale.

The 16-year-old teenager who went missing from Norkem Park on Friday evening was found safe at a residence in Edenvale later that night reports Kempton Express.

Norkem Park SAPS escorted the concerned mother to McDonald’s Norkem Park, where she was last seen, after the outlet initially refused her access to CCTV footage without the police being present.

While she was waiting to view the footage, she received information that her daughter was in Edenvale.

Norkem Park SAPS escorted her to Edenvale Police Station, from where Edenvale SAPS took her to the given address. An elderly man opened the door.

The missing teen and two others were found “chilling” in the home.

Edenvale SAPS reprimanded the girl and warned her of the consequences of her actions. The girl said the longer she was there, the more she was afraid to call her mother.

“Thank you to everyone for the prayers and social media shares. Please may we do this for every missing child because anything can happen,” her mother said late Friday after her daughter was home safe.
