Celebrating love by bringing Joburg East children together

"I love children and want them to feel special on this day.”

Murray Park Library hosted a Valentines’s fun day for all the early childhood development daycare centres at Murray Park on February 12.

The ECDs that participated were Zamokuhle, Wings of Hope, Little Lambs, Blue Baby, and Kiddies Palace.

Edith Khuzwayo, who is the organiser of the event, said they wanted to celebrate the annual event in style.

The event aims to build a relationship with the ECDs.

“Valentine’s Day is a day where most of us celebrate love. The love I have for children is out of this world. I love children and want them to feel special on this day,” said Edith.

The day included sport activities for the children.

“We do this every year because we want children to experience open spaces because some ECDs don’t have open spaces.”

“I am always keen to do more because of the love I have for children. Children need to feel special all the time especially on this day,” she said.
