Saheti hosts its 26th annual rugby sevens and netball festival this weekend

The Saheti Sevens has become the traditional winter sports season-opener for schools in Johannesburg

Saheti School is hosting its 26th annual rugby sevens and netball festival on February 21 and 22.

The format has changed this year. The rugby starts on Friday from 3pm to 6pm, and continues on Saturday from 9am.

The netball takes place on Saturday from 8am onwards.

Prize-giving is expected to take place at 2.30pm on Saturday.

The Saheti Sevens has become the traditional winter sports season-opener for schools in Johannesburg.

This year’s event will feature 30 rugby teams and 32 netball teams comprising around 700 boys and girls.

Schools including Assumption Convent, Bedfordview High, Bishop Bavin, Holy Rosary School, Jeppe Girls High, Reddam Bedfordview, St Benedict’s College and Saheti will participate in this year’s event.
