110th anniversary to be celebrated
The reunion will take place at Blue Forest in van Rooyen Street, Morehill, Benoni, at 2pm.
Girl Guides Gauteng is calling all former Teddies, Brownies, Guilders, Rangers, young leaders and Trefoil Guild to come and celebrate their 110th anniversary with a big reunion on February 22.
Trefoil Guild member Margaret Bennet said: “This would be a very good time to try and find out what memories the formers have of their years in the movement.
“Old cupboards have been raided and all scrapbooks that have over the years recorded everyone that was involved in the various camps, pack holidays and unit events have been dug up.
“We might need help with some of your names as some of you might be mothers and grandmothers,” said Bennet.
She added that it would be great to find out what the ladies are doing these days and how much they remember from their guiding years.
The reunion will take place at Blue Forest in van Rooyen Street, Morehill, Benoni, at 2pm.
