SCAM ALERT: R200k reward offered for recovery of Bedfordview Lambo

"Owners of high-end vehicles are called and told there is a problem with their vehicle requesting that it be returned to the dealership."

A private investigator confirmed the owner of a Lamborghini Urus is offering a reward of R200 000 for any information leading to the successful recovery of his vehicle.

The white sedan, with registration plate number JD 89 ZI GP, “went missing” on February 4 in Bedfordview via an alleged ongoing scam.

Anton Koen, private investigator, said three vehicles went “missing” last week in Johannesburg and the East Rand.

The white Lamborghini Urus went missing in Bedfordview on February 4.

“This is a scam where owners of high-end vehicles are called and told there is a problem with their vehicle requesting that it be returned to the dealership. Thereafter the vehicle is collected, placed on a low-bed and taken away. Owners then call the dealership a few days later asking about their vehicle, with the dealership having no knowledge of their vehicle,” said Koen.

Koen urged anyone who has any information leading to the recovery and return of the vehicle to contact him directly on 071 127 6091.
