EDENVALE: Pedestrian killed in Meadowdale collision
“The man was hit by a vehicle when he was walking on Edenvale Road, before falling over the railing and onto the highway.”
A male pedestrian was killed following a car collision on Edenvale Road in Meadowdale last night, January 29.
“The man was hit by a vehicle when he was walking on Edenvale Road, before falling over the railing and onto the highway,” said ER24 spokesperson Ineke van Huyssteen.

ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene at approximately 6pm.
According to Huyssteen the man was lying in the middle of the R24 highway and another medical service was already in attendance.
“Upon further assessment, it was found that the patient was in a critical condition.
“Despite paramedics’ best efforts, the man died as a result of multiple injuries.
“The circumstances leading up to the incident were unknown. Local authorities were on the scene to conduct investigations.”
