With the start of the government school year Edenglen High School welcomed its new Grade Eight learners to its family.

Learners of all ages returned to school on January 15 while others took the first steps of their academic journey.

On the first day the teachers and leader body were introduced to the learners and they were placed into their respective classes.

Each class, escorted by their class leader, were given a tour of the school and told the dos and don’ts.

New Grade Eight learners from Edenglen High School dressed in their school uniform on their first day of high school.

The leaders gave the Grade Eight’s some advice on how to survive.

During the day, learners were issued with their new Edenglen High kit and had the opportunity to interact with both their register teacher and fellow classmates.

After lunch they were given their first task as a class preparing a seven-minute long skit on a topic of their choice.

As their first day came to an end the new Grade Eight’s returned to the hall to perform their skits.
