SAPS is still investigating the Bez Valley armed robbery, where a resident was shot dead on January 3.
Capt. Richard Munyayi from Jeppe Police Station said three suspects took two cell phones and a wallet from two men on 8th Avenue in Bez Valley.
“The suspects shot twice at the men, where one man was hit by a bullet and taken to Bedford Gardens Hospital where he later died,” said Munyayi.
He said two firearms were used in the robbery.
A case of armed robbery and murder was opened at Jeppe Police Station and no arrests have been made.
“Investigation into the case is still ongoing,” said Munyayi.
