Skilled Edenvale photographers awarded

Photographers chose their best photos of the year, across 10 different categories and entered into one of three star-rating sections.

Edenvale Photographic Club’s annual awards evening saw photographers from the club receive awards to honour their achievements made throughout the year.

The awards evening was recently held at Edenvale Community Centre.

Photographers chose their best photos of the year, across 10 different categories and entered into one of three star-rating sections.

All submissions were judged externally by senior judges from Sandton Photography Club.

Awards were given for the most versatile photographer in each star section, together with a club log winner (highest total number of points in the year) and a set subject winner (highest total points accumulated during set subject challenges).

Jorge Borralho was the winner of the 2019 Club log with Natasha Bird, the runner-up.

David Wolstencroft won the 2019 set subject category with John Coumbias and Clare Appleyard both runners-up.

Kenneth Kubheka was announced as the 2019 Most Improved Photographer for the club

Most Versatile photographer of the one- and the two-star category was Caryn Wilson while Brian Kleinwort was runner up.

Most Versatile photographer of the three- and the four-star category was Natasha Bird and Clare Appleyard was announced as runner up.

Most Versatile photographer of the open (five-star and honours) category was Jorge Borralho, David Wolstencroft took the runner up position.
