67 Blankets and Park Meadows join hands for 2020

This partnership will see both brands working together in 2020 with one common goal of ensuring that many people are kept warm in the winter months to follow for years to come.

67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela will be collaborating with Park Meadows Shopping Centre in their projects in 2020.

The centre will be hosting events and knitathons in the centre in support of 67 Blankets.

To celebrate and kick start this wonderful venture, the centre hosted a Festive Season in the Park event.

Lynton Lefevre, brand manager for 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela, and Park Meadows marketing manager Paula Lamprecht said both brands are excited about the partnership between the two brands.

The event was beautifully styled with all the festive season spirit.

The 67 Blankets ambassadors, the elderly residents of Dewetshof Retirement Home and management were interacting with shoppers and sharing the exciting projects 67 Blankets are busy with.

“As 67 Blankets, we are pleased with this partnership.

“We have been involved with Park Meadows Shopping Centre for close to four years now and they have seen the value and its return, plus it aligns itself perfectly with their CSI policies.

“People love having us in the centre and it also attracts people to the wonderful work we do,” said Lynton Lefevre, brand manager for 67 Blankets.

Park Meadows marketing manager Paula Lamprecht said as the centre, the partnership was a right fit for them.

“We have been hosting 67 Blankets in the centre for the past few years and, most importantly, seen the amazing work they do in the community. We wanted to be part of that. The centre is all about community because we love to know who shops here and also know charities in our area that we can support,” said Lamprecht.

This partnership will see both brands working together in 2020 with one common goal of ensuring that many people are kept warm in the winter months to follow for years to come.

67 Blankets is also ready for its 2020 big project.

The 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela project for 2020 will be making the biggest Springbok blanket.

Like most of its projects, this project will again get the country working together in achieving one common goal of making the biggest Springbok blanket.

The 2020 project is inspired by the Springboks bringing the 2019 Rugby World Cup trophy home.

67 Blankets saw it befitting to celebrate the green and gold.

The goal is to make the biggest Springbok blanket.

The colour codes are green and gold.

In this project, people can crochet or knit.

The blankets need to measure exactly 160cm x 160cm.

“We encourage all our knitwits to get friends and family members who have not joined involved.

“Let’s get the green and gold wool and get ready for the biggest Springbok blanket,” said Lefevre.
