An Edenvale man (70) was airlifted to hospital after he was shot while taking a video of an Edenglen residential burglary at about 1pm.

The man, who is in a stable condition, was shot in the left shoulder.
“Three suspects broke into a property near the gunshot victim’s house and stole an unknown amount of items,” Edenvale SAPS spokesperson Sgt Jacob Mashile said.

“During the burglary the man filming the incident was shot and injured. The suspects fled the scene in a silver BMW X5.

“A case of attempted murder and residential burglary was opened, however charges may change pending investigation.
