Edenvale security specialist honoured with bravery award

The keynote speaker and guest of honour was the deputy minister of police, Cassel Mathale.

Jarod Paul, technical specialist at Langa Security in Edenvale, was one of the recipients of the 2019 Security Industry Bravery Awards held on November 5.

The ceremony was sponsored by SASA, SANSEA and TAPSOSA and supported by the statutory enforcement body, the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority.

The keynote speaker and guest of honour was the deputy minister of police, Cassel Mathale.

The bravery award was bestowed upon Jarod for an act of bravery above and beyond the call of duty when he was still employed by well-known financial crimes investigation company, IRS Forensic Investigations.

“Jarod worked for many years at IRS and excelled in his duties. When faced with imminent danger, and despite overwhelming odds, he reacted in such a manner that he was able to assist other people who were in danger.

Jarod recently left IRS to join integrated security specialist firm Langa Security in Edenvale.

“His passion has always been with electronic-based security systems and he is now able to work in an environment which has a specialist technical division and allows him to follow his passion,” said Chad Thomas CEO for IRS Forensics Investigations.

Jarod was congratulated by his Langa Security Director, Dave Bruwer.
